Abraham F. Rempel was born on August 5, 1868 in South Russia, to Mr.

and Mrs. Gerhard Rempel. He passed away to be with his Lord on April 30, 1954. He attained the age of 85 years, eight months and 25 days.

In 1876 he, with his parents and grandparents, came to the United States to live.

They settled near Fairbury, Neb., where Mr. Rempel spent the greater part of his life. In 1879 Mr. Rempel’s father died as the result of an accident, leaving the mother to raise and care for eight children.

The year 1888 was an important one for Bro.

It was in that year that he was saved by the grace of God, and was baptized and joined the fellowship of the church. It was also in that year, on August 19, that he entered in matrimony with Aganetha Fast. Mrs. Rempel died at the early age of 26, leaving Mr.

Rempel with four young children.
