Dorothy Hill was born in Harrison Arkansas February 10, She grew up in northern Arkansas and southern Missouri moving around some because of her father’s employment.

Dorothy graduated High School from Sullivan, MO High School.

Traveled with relatives to California to find a job but became so homesick that she saved every penny to get back home. She then enrolled in Ouachita Baptist College with cousins and took classes a year or two.

Dorothy was employed with Smith Brothers in Carthage, MO and met Pat (Hill) Stutz.

Dorothy, Pat and friends traveled to Kansas City to attend a concert and spent the night at Pat’s brother’s house. That brother was Robert Hill, and romance shortly bloomed.

Dorothy married Robert Hill on August 1, They lived in North Kansas City and Gladstone, MO for 55 years.

They raised two children, Richard Robert and Mary Constance.
